Every LEGO Scooby Doo Set Ever Released

As far as partnerships go between The LEGO Group and popular movies and shows, there aren’t many that are more perfect than this one. Scooby Doo is a beloved brand that was first created in 1969 and has been enjoyed by children and adults alike ever since. The mysterious and fun setting of the show is perfect for LEGO, and when the sets were finally released, they proved exactly what we all thought – that LEGO and Scooby Doo is a perfect partnership.

LEGO Scooby Doo is a series of LEGO sets based on the popular Scooby-Doo TV show and movies. The LEGO theme was initially released in 2015, with five core sets in the series that depict some of the various adventures that Scooby and his friends get into while solving mysteries. Since their retirement in 2016, all of the sets have become rare and have grown in value, and some of the exclusive minifigures have also become collectors items.

The LEGO Scooby Doo theme is packed with fun and creative sets. The sets are highly playable, and well suited to a younger audience. Some of the larger sets also look amazing as display pieces for any fan of LEGO and Scooby Doo. What sets are they? Let’s dive in!

LEGO Mummy Museum Mystery 75900

RRP: $14.99 | €14.99
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 110
Minifigs: 2

Although all five of the LEGO Scooby Doo sets released on the same day on August 1st, 2015, the first set in the order of set numbers is LEGO Mummy Museum Mystery, set number 75900. We’re starting off small, but things get much more impressive from here.

With just 110 pieces and 2 minifigures, this was the smallest set in the theme of LEGO Scooby Doo (not including the Scooby polybag). Mummy Museum Mystery comes complete with the minifigures for Shaggy Rogers and a Mummy (Dr. Najib). The Mummy minifigure is unique to this set, but the Shaggy minifigure also appears in Mystery Plane Adventures (75901) and a minifigure booster pack. In addition to the minifigures, we also get a golden coffin, colorful jewels, a map, and of course – Scooby!

LEGO Scooby Doo Mummy Museum Mystery was released in August 2015 and retired in December 2016, which gave it a shelf life of just under a year and a half.

LEGO Mystery Plane Adventures 75091

RRP: $19.99 | €24.99
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 128
Minifigs: 2

The second set in the series of Scooby Doo sets is LEGO Mystery Plane Adventures. This set depicted the adventures of Shaggy and Scooby in a bi-plane, as they face off against the menacing Headless Horseman.

This set had just 128 pieces and 2 minifigures, including Shaggy and the Headless Horseman (Elwood Crane). It also includes Scooby in a seated position, a white horse, and a buildable colorful airplane. This set had the second-lowest price of the series of Scooby Doo sets, but the low number of parts in this one made for poor value overall, with a price-per-piece of just 15.6c in the US, or 19.5c in Europe, which is extremely high.

LEGO Scooby Doo Mystery Plane Adventures was released in August 2015 and retired in December 2016 along with the rest of the theme, which gave it a shelf life of just under a year and a half.

LEGO The Mystery Machine 75902

RRP: $29.99 | €34.99
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 301
Minifigs: 3

One of the most recognizable things in the Scooby Doo brand is of course the iconic van called The Mystery Machine, which Scooby and the gang use to travel around solving mysteries. It goes without saying of course that The LEGO Group had to make an entire LEGO set focused on this van to do it justice!

LEGO The Mystery Machine is a depiction of the famous van from the Scooby Doo franchise. It contains 301 pieces and 3 minifigures in the set, including Shaggy (a different version than the first two sets in the theme), Fred, and a zombie. This variant of Fred and the zombie are both exclusive to this set, while Shaggy also appears in another set. We also get another variation of Scooby, a tree, and of course the buildable Mystery Machine.

LEGO Scooby Doo The Mystery Machine was released in August 2015 and retired in December 2016, which gave it a shelf life of just under a year and a half.

LEGO Haunted Lighthouse 75903

RRP: $49.99 | €49.99
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 437
Minifigs: 4

LEGO Haunted Lighthouse 75903 is a set in the LEGO Scooby Doo theme that centers around a lighthouse mystery that Scooby and the gang are faced with solving. It is the fourth set in the LEGO Scooby Doo theme, and the second-largest in terms of number of pieces and the price that the set sold at in retail stores before it retired.

This set was complete with 437 pieces and 4 minifigures, including a unique variant of Shaggy (wearing a sea shirt), Lighthouse Keeper (Verona Dempsey), Swamp Monster, and Daphne. Three of the minifigures are unique to this set, with the exception of Daphne, as she also appears in the Mystery Mansion set. In addition to the minifigures, this set also included a buildable lighthouse on a rock face, a boat, treasure chest, and a seated version of Scooby Doo. The skull-face design in the rock that the lighthouse sits on adds a mysterious touch to a great set.

LEGO Scooby Doo Haunted Lighthouse was released in August 2015 and retired in December 2016, which gave it a shelf life of just under a year and a half.

LEGO Mystery Mansion 75904

RRP: $89.99 | €89.99
Year Released: 2015
Pieces: 860
Minifigs: 6

LEGO Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion is the flagship set in the LEGO Scooby Doo theme. It is the largest set in the series by far, and is a highly-regarded set that is beloved by many fans of LEGO and Scooby Doo. This set is an incredible depiction of what is possible when the LEGO and Scooby Doo brands come together.

The set has 860 pieces and 6 minifigures, including Black Knight, Ghost, Daphne, Shaggy, Vampire, and Velma. Four of the minifigures are exclusive to this set, with Daphne and Shaggy being the exception. This is the only set that Velma appears in in the series of LEGO Scooby Doo, which may be a slight disappointment to some fans who wanted to collect the smaller sets only. The fact that Fred is also missing from this set means that there was no single set in the series that included all five of the main characters from Scooby Doo – Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma.

In addition to the minifigures, this main focus of the Mystery Mansion set is of course the incredibly detailed mansion. The incredible design is complete with a colorful purple, brown and grey exterior, which works really well. The massive clock face on the front of the tower brings even more elements of mystery to the set, and we also get the incredible motorcycle in this set.

LEGO Scooby Doo Mystery Mansion was released in August 2015 and retired in December 2016, which gave it a shelf life of just under a year and a half, along with the other four main sets in the LEGO Scooby Doo theme.

Have You Seen the Current Prices of These Sets?

The LEGO Scooby Doo sets have risen massively in value since the retirement of the first wave of sets in December 2016. This is because as LEGO sets retire, they are no longer available in retail stores, so the supply of sets in new condition begins to thin out and the sets become scarce. However, demand has continued because LEGO Scooby Doo fans still love the series and want to collect them.

Since prices rise so much after retirement, we can collect LEGO sets and invest in them. If you would like to learn more about LEGO investing, we talk about it in detail on our YouTube channel. You can check out our videos here.
