The most successful LEGO themes tend to be licensed partnerships with brands like Star Wars, Harry Potter or Marvel. However, not licensed product lines can also be quite successful, which was shown by the LEGO Elves theme!
The LEGO Elves theme is based on the LEGO Elves television series from 2015. The sets, which are designed in a fantasy style accompany the main character Emily Jones and her friends on the discovery of a magical world named Elvendale. As with other LEGO sets targeted towards young girls, the sets feature mini-dolls rather than the typical LEGO minifigures. The sceneries featured in this product line really look magical, because The LEGO Group used plenty colorful pieces, making each set looking incomparable! The main focus lays on dragons, which appear in various colors and shapes.
The original LEGO Elves theme of sets were released in March of 2015, with a total of seven sets in its initial release. Later that year two more sets were added to this theme.
